Wake County Housing Authority provides affordable housing through the Public Housing and Housing Choice Voucher programs. Currently, Wake County Housing Authority owns and manages 345 Public Housing units and 566 Housing Choice Vouchers in the cities of Apex, Cary, Fuquay-Varina, Garner, Holly Springs, Knightdale, Morrisville, Rolesville, Wake Forest, Wendell & Zebulon. As the need for affordable housing continues to be great in the county, the Housing Authority continues to explore ways to increase the housing stock. Mission Statement Provide affordable, safe, well-maintained housing and services that enrich the lives of eligible families, thereby creating viable neighborhoods. The HACW is to promote personal, economic and social upward mobility to provide families the opportunity to make the transition from subsidized to non-subsidized housing.
