WCHA Hosts Successful NACA Homeownership Event

The Housing Authority of the County of Wake (WCHA) was pleased to host a NACA Homeownership Event on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at the WCHA Administrative Office.

The event brought together current Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS) Program participants and Housing Choice Voucher participants who were interested in learning more about the FSS Program and the path toward financial independence and homeownership.

The FSS Program is a five-year (5) program designed to help participating families work toward economic self-sufficiency by connecting them with resources, support, education, and opportunities that can help them achieve their personal and financial goals. For eligible Housing Choice Voucher participants, participation in FSS can be an important step toward building financial stability and working toward the goal of homeownership.

During the NACA event, participants had the opportunity to learn more about homeownership, financial preparation, and the resources available to help families move toward becoming homeowners.

WCHA is proud to support our residents as they work toward greater financial independence and brighter futures. We are grateful to everyone who participated and helped make this event a success!
