April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month

April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month!

The statewide 2023 Child Abuse Prevention Month theme is: Nurturing Positive Childhoods Together: Prevention in Partnership.

Wake County Health & Human Services recognizes the importance of partnering with families and community partners to ensure the safety and well-being of children in Wake County.

The County's Child Abuse Prevention efforts seek to build stronger families that provide healthy childhoods and leads to building thriving communities. Event calendar is posted.

The Child Welfare Division of Wake County Health and Human Services is hosting a #GetConnected Community Resource Fair.

The fair will be held on Monday, April 17th, 2023, from 2:00PM - 7:00PM at The Wake County Commons building located at 4011 Carya Drive, Raleigh, NC.

The fair will serve as a "one-stop shop" where families can get connected to information and resources that will help keep children safe.

We invite you grab your family, friends and pets and meet us for a one-mile walk at one of Wake County's many parks and preserves to close out the month as we "Step Out Against Child Abuse".
We look forward to an amazing month of prevention awareness and to partnering with our community organizations to continue to make prevention a priority in Wake County.
